| I realize that my message was probably way too vague to give a meaningful response. The problem is that I haven't been able to recreate the problem recently in order to obtain meaningful debug information. I do know that when it fails the authtool never actually gets invoked. There is no crash report. The performCommand method returns a non-zero (error) value. I know this is probably impossible to comment on but I am really at a loss. We've been running the same binary (both the application and the helper tool) for months now and the problem didn't surface until recently. I was wondering if it might be something in the api that got changed in one of the recent OS updates (10.4.5 or 10.4.6).

Can you be more specific about what you mean by "fail?" Is it simply that the helper tool doesn't launch, or is the helper tool crashing very early on (is there a crash log)?
