Client auth with Safari on 10.5.4

Hi,

there's a web site where we can do smart card auth
with Safari on 10.4 but not on 10.5. On other sites
client auth work fine on 10.5.

I added an Identity preference for this site as
explained on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1679
but still no luck.

>From the tcp dump, it looks like that after the
first handshake the server requests a renegotiation
handshake and then sends about 8 KB of handshake
data after which the Safari ends with an alert
message and displays "The page requires a client
certificate". No smart card access seems to be done,
no PIN is being asked.

Any idea what could be the cause? Is there a way
to get logging from the SSL layer?

Thanks,
Stef
