I meant to add that there's another downside to using a fixed delay. On a faster machine, it may be longer than necessary; on a slower one, it may not be long enough. The latter can result in an error (and does, on one machine here, 50% of the time - with a 1 second delay).


Using System Preferences' panes and anchors introduces an implicit dynamic delay - and should therefore avoid these issues.
