If you know it's identifier..
I use this for my external firewire (which always shows up at the
end of the list):
set D to
do shell script
"diskutil list" -- gets a list of everything thats live and
connected whether mounted or not.
set E to last word
of last
paragraph
of D -- works for my case
do shell
script "diskutil
mount " &
E -- mounts it.
