Create a Text Clipping File?

Hi all,

Does Applescript have the capability to create a Text Clipping file, either directly or by manipulating the file properties of a plain text file? I'm trying to create a file that can be easily dragged and dropped into another application that doesn't understand Applescript, but does handle drag and drop.
