When clicking on the volume/folder panther shows the content in 5
sec. But tiger shows it in 1 minute.... Is this a spotlight issue?
It might just be a difference in what image previews are shown in the
icons.
I disabled spotlight using the terminal and Modified the /etc/
hostconfig file
Spotlight –NO-
You would of course need to restart your Mac for the change to /etc/
hostconfig to be noticed.
But a better way would be to just put that folder into the "privacy"
section of Spotlight preferences.
By the way, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with
AppleScript, so would better belong on some other mailing list.
