FTP for FileMaker Application...

Malcolm, Mark;

Thanks for your responses on the best choice of an FTP application to use from FileMaker. I considered an FTP plugin, but that was never updated to long filenames. "Fetch" is a reasonable solution but it's not everyone's preferred ftp client, and it would require people to purchase the shareware product. Unix rsyncd/sshd would be a good solution except that it places a requirement on the server to support it (and I believe my ISP uses Windows servers so I'm guessing that's not the case). So I guess I'm back to curl.

The problem with curl is that it doesn't provide a directory listing in a consistent format (not one that contains the file dates) which makes parsing out the current date of files difficult. The FTP plugin I was using did this, and so does Fetch.

And today I can't seem to get curl to work with my URLs (e.g. cnp-wireless.com) although it works well with other FTP URLs that I know.
