My beef is that to get a good XML parser/editor I have to install a scripting addition.. Which I don't actually have a problem with when dealing with just my machine.. But my request from my own superiors is to not have to include any extra items for installing on the machine.. This discussion has suggested that I can include OSAX inside my script? Is that right? Apologies for the discussion, I don't mean to make it "Pointless" My Question's (I spose) Are: A) People don't use System Events for parsing B) Where to find some really good examples C) Why very powerful commands such as the ones available in XMLLib are not included in OSX I did also post a small sample bit of code which Philip Aker responded too, thanks Philip that also helped :) Thanks everyone, apologies for the noise.
