iCab and AppleScript

Hadn't looked at or used iCab in a couple of years (used to use it a lot in the pre-X days). Just downloaded the current version and gave it a spin to see what's new/changed.

I see that the AppleScript implementation has had a lot added to it, including a busy status indicator for loading windows. And it works. How novel. Too bad iCab doesn't yet have tabs included in the object model.

The other benefit is that it uses about half of the RAM that Safari 3.0 does (tested with the same four pages opened), less Virtual memory, but it's a bit more CPU hungry. It has a lot of nice features, a much richer set of preferences, and while it's not as fast as Safari, it's not bad in the speed department.

Might have to use it for a while to see how it feels as a regular use application.
