Mark, Try creating the following plist file com.apple.DiskArbitration.diskarbitrationd.plist in this location: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.DiskArbitration.diskarbitrationd.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist SYSTEM "file://localhost/System/Library/DTDs/PropertyList.dtd"> <plist version="0.9"> <dict> <key>DAMountDeferExternal</key> <false/> </dict> </plist> I know it works under Tiger.
