be easier in applescript studio?
No, AppleScript Studio is mostly for writing sophisticated scripts
that act like applications. You'd still need to understand and use
InDesign's mail-merge features. Maybe it could help you to debug your
script, by executing one line at a time, but just using Script Editor
would work almost as well.
Try Apple's Applescript-Users mailing list, or InDesign's forums. The
AppleScript-Implementors mailing list is for developers who want to
add AppleScript to their applications. Unless one of the InDesign
developers is hanging around here, we probably can't help you.
