In case anyone is interested, one difference in behavior is that
'ascr:gdut' is still sent first thing after RAEL but 'ascr:gsdf'
is not. I was actually expecting gsdf to be first (because that
would be the cue to install the sdef handlers of your app's
frameworks and bundles) and then fallback to gdut when not handled.
So if you don't respond to gdut, then it never sends gsdf?
I've bypassed an aete entirely and return errAEEventNotHandled from
gdut and still receive gsdf. Nonetheless, it would be cool if it was
sent before gdut for the reasons mentioned above. I know I could use
gdut but it seems like it would be better to associate sdef stuff
with gsdf.
Anyone know exactly when AEM sniffs the Info.plist for the value of
OSAScriptingDefinition?
Cheers,
Philip Aker
