displaying a dialog as sheet fails

display dialog Fehlermeldung buttons "OK" default button "OK" with icon stop

works but

display dialog Fehlermeldung buttons "OK" default button "OK" with icon stop attached to window "main"

brings the  error:

"Syntax Error

Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier."

with the word "attached"  highlighted in my code.

What went wrong?
