My native language is also german, but the english book "AppleScript: The Definitive Guide" from Matt Neuburg is very nice and easy to understand.

When i began scripting in AppleScript i loved "The Tao of AppleScript" by Derrick Schneider. I had it in german wich was very helpful to me 'cause english isn't really my native language.
