Hello,

I am trying to use nicl or dscl or niutil to change the root password and disable the account.

This worked on 10.3.6

       --encypting password using openssl
      set rootPassword to (do shell script "openssl passwd '" & rootpwd1 & "'")
       do shell script "sudo niutil -createprop . /users/root passwd '*" & rootPassword & "'"

Any suggestions are appreciated.
