My News Depot

March 4 2005:

Thinking on a project I would like to build: I gather news stories from web pages as clippings into a folder. I use them as references for cartoons. I would like to browse and access the stories as text and sometimes make notes connected to the story. The folder containing clippings may also hold picture clippings.
My first thought was to build a new project in Interface Builder and xCode, but realized just a moment ago that Sherlock should be capable of doing the interface if I wrote a channel for the folder.

March 9:

Found an article in MacAddict about building Sherlock Channel. I am poking around in the instructions. It seems to me that I need tweak it only a little bit... but it seems like I need to put the location of the folder holding my text clippings as a URL so Sherlock will find it. Am I guessing right here? How do I express the folder location as a URL?

There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.
