The next meeting of the Philadelphia Area AppleScript Users Group
(PAASUG) will be held on Friday, April 1st, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, at The
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia <http://www.usp.edu/>,
Griffith Hall, room 338, 600 South Forty-third Street, Philadelphia, PA
19104-4495.
For this meeting, our featured speaker will be Tony Green, who will be
demonstrating how he uses AppleScript to maintain his web site. An
AppleScript Studio project provides a centralized interface to the
site's files and integrates MySQL, BBEdit, Perl, and Interarchy. Topics
covered will include AppleScript Studio basics, table and outline views
using a data source, and saving preferences using user defaults. Also
covered will be do shell script (which is used to call Perl and connect
to MySQL), and attaching scripts to BBEdit to modify standard behavior.
