Yes. Not only is this useful for single records, but also for a record and a
portal.
If you have the portal relation set up to allow creation of related records,
you can easily duplicate a record and all its child records.
You need to do this on a layout that has no calculated fields and no
autoenter ID fields.
Set oldRec to get data current record
Create new record with data oldRec
This would allow you to do something like duplicate an old invoice with line
items to create an identical new invoice; or create a master order template
with several standard items already in place and then generate a new order
based on the template.
