I think you misunderstood me Wayne ... what I meant was, instead of enabling communication on FM Server via ODBC, use XML instead. Then you communicate with FM Server using HTTP--eg:


http://127.0.0.1/fmi/xml/fmresultset.xml?-db=demo-lay=Web&-findall

The results will be sent back in XML using the FMRESULTSET format. This is different to Exporting an XML file.

Apologies, you are right!! This had not occured to me and could very well be the answer I'm looking for!
