Return FileVault to Default State

When I got my new Mac (OS X 10.3.9) a year or so ago, I:

1) clicked on System Preferences
2) clicked on Accounts
3) clicked on Security
4) clicked on [set a password for FileVault]
5) entered a password
6) then decided not to use FileVault ( --> so I did NOT click on the [Turn on FileVault...] button <-- )

I would like to return FileVault back to the state where a password is not defined. FileVault sets there waiting for someone to click on the [Turn on FileVault...] button.

Is there some clever script around that can return FileVault back to the state where a password is not defined? (FileVault was never turned on.)
