And thanks for the effort. Didn't mean to open a can of worms. I just wanted him and the other offenders purged from the list. I've received no reply from the post I sent to applescript-users- email@hidden. OTOH, I think the last post I've received from said Babington is dated September 21 (I may have deleted some directly on my server before fetching the mail).

In general, we don't reply directly to messages to applescript- users-owner. I did, however, disable Monte's list delivery; I'll be making a point of keeping up with bogus auto-responders in the future.

Is it possible for the list management software to do this automatically? Some kind of filter? That's my impression since it's come up from time to time on other lists I subscribe to and also from previous replies to this thread.
