I will learn with a book, but I can't help ask

why this doesn't work:

	repeat with myMessage in messages of mailbox "myMailbox"
		set myYear to year of date received of myMessage
		log myYear
	end repeat

when this works fine :

	repeat with myMessage in messages of mailbox "myMailbox"
		set myDate to date received of myMessage
		set myYear to year of myDate
		log myYear
	end repeat
