Re: AppleScript In Web Publishing...



Actually, I think I may have asked a question for which there is no 
obvious solution, because I don't even know what my needs are... and the 
answers offered so far are well over my head... and though I specifically 
asked about the web, my use is local.

I've written a droplet script that writes file://localhost/ links for 
various file types dropped on it, and creates a simple page of links to 
the files... nothing fancy.  It also creates thumbnails for image files.  
I've worked out a simple list of table rows, one after the other, but 
again, that's not much more than a list.

(I think) I'm asking how I might make use of AS to place the links and 
images at specified locations in an HTML template.

I guess I'll have to think about what the desired final output page might 
look like... or build a template and see if I can figure out how to drop 
variables into static locations.

So, if that clarifies what I'm hoping to do, and there might be examples 
of a script for doing something similar, I'd be interested.
