Re: FM 8 layout references w/applescript - works in one file, fails in five other identical files!

I was thinking that it may be an idea to store the layout name temporarily in your scripts as a variable before commencing your script. Set variable (Get layout name) and using that as your script works. Alternately, I refer to an earlier reply to this problem that you will get more reliable results from an external script by referring to the layout by number and not its name. Got to layout 1 not go to layout "main". If you really need to have this fixed, you could upload a clone of the offending files to http://idisk.mac.com/ peterba1 and I'll have a look at them.
