close access bar
Why are you opening into fileRef, but closing bar? They should be
the same variable.
Typo; I forgot to change it. The script never got that far so it
never erred there.
This should work:
set UserFile to choose file with prompt "Please choose the
dictionary file to add the words to."
try
close access UserFile
end try
set fileRef to open for access UserFile with write permission
write additions to fileRef
close access fileRef
It doesn't.
--> "File file Dora:Users:michelle:Desktop:en is already open."
