Re: [OT]Apple lost their market in China again!

That is rather amazing progress if you ask me.

Definitely. Retail is another big thing.

By spring festival (i.e. February) 2002, Apple was left with a solitary, microscopic AppleCentre at Landao (Blue Island) Tower. It really was an island in the Blue Island. It was somewhat neglected and it didn't show Apple CN at its best.

2004 -- and we've new Apple shops everywhere. 3 Apple Experience Centres, 2 AppleCentres. More to come -- I can't share the inside dirt for the Store -- but I'm seriously hoping that the Store marches in with the Olympians come 08.

(I'm also not sharing the dirt with any rumour sites. They have their own intelligence units if you ask me. They can use that. Eat your own dog food... I think that's what Guy once said... or not.)

And also, we've Apple ads all over town. Mum said she saw one on Beijing TV just a few days ago. Her comment? "Crazy, rocking-ish, typically you Apple guys..."

David.
