The holiday season is in full swing at Macintosh User Groups everywhere,
with visits by vendors, iPod focused gatherings, lots of parties and
season-themed meetings and more.

USER GROUP SURVEY: GROUP COMMUNICATIONS QUESTION & HARDWARE ANSWERS
User group leadership doesn't just happen. It requires some effort on the
part of those who are in charge at every group, regardless of size. That
means communication of one type or another. This week, The MUG Center
Survey focuses on how that communication is conducted between the
individuals who lead their groups. How does the leadership of your group
communicate? Last week, we were trying to get a feel for the amount of
equipment that user groups use to conduct their affairs. It was no
surprise to find that 86% of the seventy-nine responses said they own an
LCD projector and 65% a PowerBook.

APPLE REGIONAL LIAISON DISPATCH: NEW LIAISON REPORTS IN WITH DECEMBER
NORTHEAST U.S. UPDATE
Maria Arguello, the Apple Regional Liaison for the Northeast United
States (as well as online user groups) has filed her first Dispatch for
her new territory. Maria's update includes a brief introduction to her
groups, notes on the recent CompUSA event for user groups, and an update
on MUG events at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

APPLE REGIONAL LIAISON DISPATCH: USER GROUP HAPPENINGS IN OCEANIA
Apple Rgional Liaison Graeme Moffatt has filed the latest Dispatch on the
activities of Macintosh User Groups in his territory. Graeme updates his
territory on changes in the Apple volunteer MUG teams, discusses a new
MUG Center resource that groups in his area can leverage, talks about his
own group's 20th anniversary celebration as well as their MovieFest
event, and more.
