Re: User Group Kick-Off Event for Macworld SF

Thanks Elsa,
Seems with no UGU this year they would try to make extra room for more members. Can't they just add a few more chairs, or ask for a bigger room? I guess I just don't understand turning members away who want to be apart and learn.

To make sure you don't miss out on future events, I suggest that you
subscribe to the Apple User Group Bulletin, the official source for Apple
User Group news and information.

Every user group leader should subscribe to and read the Bulletin. I would
say this even if I were not a former editor of the Bulletin. ;)

If you're a leader and you're not yet subscribed, go to
<http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/augb>

As Sandy also noted, Apple User Group information appears on the Apple and
User Group Advisory Board's websites:

http://www.apple.com/usergroups/
http://homepage.mac.com/ugab/index.html

(Shameless plug) If you're going to Macworld Expo, don't miss the fantastic
line-up of celebrity presenters in the User Group Lounge, corralled by our
own list-mom, Trish Huffman.
Check out the schedule at http://homepage.mac.com/ugab/mwsf05lounge.html

I have the right link to register, but Acteva is asking for an event
password. I looked through my email but can't seem to find it?

Hi Art,

Good to hear from you. There is a Kick-Off event instead of UGU on tap
for
San Francisco (advertised in the last few User Group Bulletins and
QuickBytes);
unfortunately it sold out a while ago.

Still, there will be lots of good things going on at Macworld for user
groups. If you keep an eye on two pages:

Apple's information at
http://www.apple.com/usergroups/mwsf05/

Advisory Board's information at
http://homepage.mac.com/ugab/news.html

You will be pretty up-to-date on what we are planning for the Lounge,
Booth,
Guides and events.

In fact, we might add a special user group trip to the local Apple
store this
time. (Not all events will be listed on the MugCenter as it is not
part of
the Apple User Group program, but a private web site.)

Hope to see you there!
Sandy Foderick
