Re: mailing list software

Dear All

We're currently using Macjordomo on a Mac OS X server for our mailing list. While it manages with most things it seems development on it has stopped and there are a few bugs and niggles which some users complain about.

My question is what do you use for your mailing lists?

I use mailman for my lists (http://www.nicholaspyers.com/lists/) and my user group also use it (http://www.ausom.et.au/lists.html). I ended up using it by default as my hosting service (pair.com) use it, but once I saw the power and simplicity of it, I started using it for AUSOM-Announcements and have been extremely pleased with it.

You can find more about Mailman at http://www.list.org/ It is free and distributed under the GNU General Public License.

Apple Computer themselves also use it for their list servers
