Re: mailing list software

We use the OS X version of LetterRip

http://www.letterrip.com

We started using LetterRip years ago, probably a version for Mac OS 8, and are very pleased with the OS X version, which we've been using for about a year. It's very easy to install and use, and the support is excellent. There's a free thirty-day demo. If you like it, let them know that you need it for a MUG before you buy it, especially if your group is non-profit.

We run the lists for our PCUG on it, too. (We have one computer club with two UGs, Mac and PC.) The PCUG set up a mail server on their network, but they had to shut it down because it let too many bugs into their LAN, and was driving their sysadmin crazy. Now I've taught the PC listmom to use LetterRip, so he can maintain the PC lists. He was blown away by how simple it is. He said they couldn't find anything as elegant as that for Windows. I didn't rub it in, I just smiled quietly and said, "Oh, really?" He got an iPod photo for Christmas and is loving it :-)

Dear All

We're currently using Macjordomo on a Mac OS X server for our mailing list. While it manages with most things it seems development on it has stopped and there are a few bugs and niggles which some users complain about.

My question is what do you use for your mailing lists?

Oh and Happy New Year!

Cheers
