Is it possible to do Carbon development on the iPhone?

Jack's spilled the beans, but the answer should be obvious. Apple wants to let Carbon die. There's no way they'd invest resources to make it work on an iPhone or any other device that may come along in the future.

Porting the application to Cocoa would require trashing the applications kernel instead of simply writing a thin HAL layer.

Time to roll up them sleeves and get to work.
