I make regular use of CoreFoundation, LaunchServices, CoreGraphics,
and other such technologies which generally fall under the "Carbon"
header. I am occasionally exposed to or need to write code which uses
QuickDraw, the Menu Manager, and other things which are indisputably
Carbon.

I'd like to know what the official requirements are for an
"investment" before I am allowed to legitimately subscribe to this
list. I'd also like to know how people who are new to Carbon and thus
have no investment are expected to join the community, or if they are
expected to do so at all.
