Yep, that's what I do, nothing more. I realize I didn't describe
*how* it fails because I was trying to keep the posting as short as
possible. I was just wondering if other people have the same
problem. As I said, sans details, the problem seems to involve an
attempt to compile/link PPC 10.4 code on an Intel 10.5 mac (not sure
if the problem is the PPC/Intel divide or the 10.4/10.5 divide).
If it's just me, then I can start investigating what might be wrong
with my setup...and I wholly admit that my exposition provides no
details as to the problem. First things first though, I just would
like to know if lots of people have this problem. That would provide
some indication of whether it's my system being screwy or it's a
"feature" of the project templates. I strongly suspect the former of
course.
Cheers!

My question is, why don't these project templates build out of the

Do you mean, on a stock 10.5.x, you do:
1) launch Xcode
2) new carbon C++ application
3) build
-> it fails?
If so, what does it fail with?
More details are needed. I'm not on a stock 10.5 right now, so
can't test.
You could write up a bug of course, too.
