Programmatically logout

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a way to perform a logout operation for the current user (or the frontmost user when Fast User Switching is enabled). I found an AE (kAEReallyLogOut) but it can be blocked by running applications. I guess I could walk through the PSNs and kill everyone, then send the AE, but it sounds like a less-than-perfect solution.

Is there any recommended way to force a user to log out?
