This is a GOOD thing. Users expect their logout to be stopped if, for
instance, they have unsaved changes in some open document. If other
applications could override that, it could lead to data loss, and very
irate customers.

If another app cancels a logout, it's because the user told it to.

There isn't a recommend way of doing that because it isn't recommended
that you do that at all.
