Why? Doesn't Finder use a (modified) version of PowerPlant, which is
a non-Apple framework.
Your choices are:
1. Give up on compositing windows and standard handler.
2. Give up Mac OSX.
3. Give up the non-apple framework.
Why not adapt the framework to deal with compositing windows, if necessary?
And I know that in the case of PowerPlant, it's real easy to handle
Carbon Events even though it dispatches based on WaitNextEvent.
Can you name a single non-apple framework based on carbon?
