MacApp is not dead!
Although Apple no longer has any engineers working on the project, the
MacApp framework is being actively updated by a dedicated group of
programmers using MacApp in their programs.
Since Apple has stopped supporting MacApp in 2001, MacApp has been
updated to fully support Carbon Events, Unicode Text, DataBrowser,
FSRefs, XML parsing, Composite Window, Drawer Window, HIView Window and
Custom Windows. MacApp also has C++ wrapper classes for HIObject and HIView.
MacApp builds with CW Pro 9 and 8 and Xcode 1.0-2.1.
At WWDC, it took me 48 hours to update MacApp and the MacApp example
apps to support Universal Binaries.
The latest changes to MacApp are available at http://www.clubmacapp.com
