Re: [OT] Future of CW - today's announcement at AdHoc


For those of you who prefer closure and official statements, according to
what I read, Metrowerks has announced the following today at AdHoc:

- CW Pro 10 will be released in the fall.

- It will probably be download only, at a low price.

- It will be the last release of CW.

- It will not, obviously, compile for Intel.

- E-mail support will only be available through the end of the year.

- MWRon will cease providing online support on Aug. 1.

- There will be another patch for CW 9.


Truly the end of an era on the Mac. I'm so disappointed. I really hate XCode, and no, I won't get used to using it. Apple should've bought Metroworks when they had the chance.
