Stencil Patterns in Quartz & Antialiasing

Hi,

I have been running into a problem with stencil patterns and antialiasing. Designs which has oblique
lines at the edges of the pattern cells, will have discontinuities if antialiasing is on. (Adjusting line endings does not appear to fix the problem)

Q) Are there any tricks which allows both antialiasing and continuity across pattern cells ?
Will extending the graphic objects outside each cell do it ?..i.e., the clipping occur after antialiasing,
in which case what are the rules for how far outside each cell I need to draw ? (I know the relationship between the Quartz coordinate system and the device pixels.)
