Re: How to pass cmd line arguments to my carbon app?

Why don't you just read a simple text file that has your arguments?

because i want to use args. text files blow. Info.plist is a text file, i could use that if i have to, but it would only be useful under Apple, and that ain't all there is in the world, alas.

All the "Best Practices" books I've read for software engineering
recommend that technique to avoid hardcoding constants, thus being
able to quickly change the internal behaviour of an application.

ermm.. yeah. you see, i have code which works, on non-Apple environments, which deals with argv's just fine. i don't want to have a special case just for Apple, unless i have to .. and i'm only asking this question to find out, absolutely and unequivocably, if i have to throw away argv parsing in Apple land and do something else. which i don't -want- to do, but will, if i have to..
