that looks like a quick fix ..

...I don't know if this has been suggested yet, but you can make a terminal script named "whatever.command" that is double clickable, but it opens a terminal window, too, so it's not soooo mac-like...the command file would just be "./nameof.app/Contents/MacOS/nameof -my - fave -args" or something...
