"Works as expected". Sorry to be so forthright, but I think that's
sub-standard.
Can you send me the radar#? In absence of further information, I'm
fairly certain that Anders' explanation is the correct one.

I would have filed this long ago -- maybe about 10.2.8 or early 10.3.
It's not in my current bug list because it was closed: "works as
expected".
