Then where do they come from? A hard-coded CFSTR[P]() isn't a string set at run-time. It's a string set at compile time. It's even more inflexible than a strings file. If we knew how you expected to be supplied these strings at run time, then we could probably direct you to the appropriate Unicode-savvy API to use for getting the string in the first place.
