Thread-topic: Creating a Handle from an existing memory
No hard feelings here either.
I could file a request, but it seems a bit too much.
Since there are quite a lot of functions that take Handles only, I think
that adding a Ptr counterpart will bloat the API. For my personal taste,
being able to wrap a Ptr with some kind of dumb handle would be the
best. I understand that handles are kind of a legacy API, but since they
are still widely used they could be enhanced a bit for the sake of
backwards compatibility.
But I'm willing to live with whatever Apple gives me ;-).
For the time being, since my data is very small and it's just the one
place PtrToHand will do fine.
