Incorrect on at least two counts:
* CarbonLib 1.0 was introduced in System 8.5, before Mac OS 9, let alone Mac OS X.
* Steve Jobs described Carbon and Cocoa as "both first-class citizens" of Mac OS X, in a WWDC keynote about 4-5 years ago.
