Hi,

That's why I put "[OT]" in the subject!. Since a lot of the people on this list are from the Mac OS 9 and before era, I thought it most likely that they would know the answer to this.

Besides all that, I watched a key note address from WWDC where SJ himself gave a demo of the New Finder. This showed far more "secrets" than whether the side bar could be collapsed! I understand the idea of the NDA but think someone would be hard pushed to justify worrying about whether this question were answered or not.

Someone replied off list with the answer (the names have been kept quiet to protect the innocent!). Thanks a lot!
