It's explicitly stated that you can't use Time Machine to back up

I bought the AEBS specifically for this purpose. Anyone have any
insight?
I have no idea, but thanks for mentioning it. I was considering
doing the same thing and it does seem like an obvious thing to do.
In my experience new features like this are minimally useful in
their initial release, as if Apple didn't do enough user testing
with them. Then in the next major release they add the stuff that
makes the feature really useful after getting lots of requests/
complaints. I would like to specify folders to back up, and it seems
like something you should be able to do, but that's not an option.
You can only tell it folders to *not* back up. I think it would
serve most people's needs to only back up their home folders. Time
Machine is useless to me if I can't back up to a drive connected to
an Airport Base station. Better luck in Mac OS X 10.6 I guess. ;-)
