I'm using Pascal and CodeWarrior on 10.4 so Xcode is not involved.
The template is really not important as I overwrote the values yet
they remain so I'm confused as to where the source of the
information is coming from.
I haven't dealt with CodeWarrior for years and can't really remember
where the .plc come into play, but you can change a built
application's Info.plist with calls to the 'defaults' shell tool.
Perhaps as a post-application-build script.
I have an app that I build from a template info.plist and since
changing all the required values it still reverts to the original.
For example the app name reverts to "my program", as well as the
application menu and get info strings, all reverts back to "my
program" despite having no such information in the plist. I even
took out the plist, renamed the app to make the changes take
affect but no luck. I just tried transferring the app to a new
user and logging in with that user but still the same problem. Why
can't I get it to accept the new values and where is it getting
the old values from??? very confused here. thanks in advance if
you know anything about this!
There's not enough info in your post for anybody to make a
reasonable guess. Which template? Which Xcode? Which system
version? What Project and Target settings?
Besides those, I can't immediately recall any Carbon application or
CoreFoundation/CoreServices Tool tempate which uses "my program".
