According to *many* experienced PP developers who have made the
switch,
including myself, this is simply not true. (By experienced, I mean
started
with Developer Release 3 that first year, and stuck with it until
the bitter
end.)
What, not 'til DR *3*? n00b :) Now those of us who _are_ experienced,
never mind PP, we were working with Metrowerks tools in 1987.
(Granted, that was Modula-2, but hey.)
My productivity gain PowerPlant->Cocoa was, I think, more significant
than the one Think Class Library->PowerPlant. PowerPlant was really
good,
yet I don't miss it one bit.
Hmmmm, well, I wouldn't go quite as far as "don't miss it one bit", I
had a really quite magnificent set of source libraries by the time it
was discontinued, but if we leave out the part where I essentially
toss a good dozen years of full-time knowledge accumulation and start
back on equal terms with the little Cocoa fanboy whippersnappers
prancing around these days, yeah, this is a fair statement.

at my life, shaking his head and saying 'Looks like you didn't try
very hard'." -- Kevin Frost
