Re: Can I disable the Finder's use of the QuickLook preview as custom icon?

The icons the Finder displays are the icon your QL generator makes at 128x128. The Finder just scales the resulting icon/image down to fit your current icon size.

So I wrote a QuickLook generator and now the beautiful document icon I slaved over to work in small sizes is being replaced by fuzzy gray preview text no one can read anyway. I think I want to turn off thumbnails only, but am not sure about that and how; or do I need to return my icon in the graphic context, or what. I upped the "minimum size" param in the info.plist but this doesn't seem to have taken effect, at least not yet (I assume the thumbnails are cached).
At least I now know why my PDF icons look so funky since Leopard. Large previews are nice, but small ones are a waste of processing power and user time IMHO.
